Funeral services for a Clarence native, Warren Seaton, were Aug. 13 at the Warner E. Pumphrey funeral home, Silver Spring, Md. Pallbearers were Harlo A. Seaton, his brother; Francis and Harry Zinnie, brothers-in-law, and George Holgate, Neuman Kerndt and Dr. Alfred Zumda. Burial was in the Parklawn cemetery.

Seaton died Aug. 9 at his home in Silver Spring after a heart attack. He was 62.

Born in Clarence April 19, 1906, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Seaton, Warren graduated from the Clarence high school in 1923. He received a BA degree in chemistry from the University of Iowa in 1926 an a Master's degree with Phi Beta Kappa honors from Harvard University the next year. He received a Law degree from George Washington University in 1932.

Seaton was a chemist with the U.S. Bureau of Standards in 1927 and 1928 before joining the U.S. Patent office. In 1934 he joined E. I. DuPont Neimours chemical firm, serving first as its home offices in Wilmington, Del. and later in Washington, D.C. as a patent attorney. He worked for Gulf Oil in 1945.

In 1946 Seaton joined the Atomic Energy Commission and was working for the commission at the time of his death.

He was a member of the D C. Bar Association and past president of the North Woodside-Montgomery Hills Citizens association. He was also a member of the Montgomery County Civic Federation and the Allied Civic Groups.

He was married to Martha A. Zinnie in Wilmington, Del., Oct. 24, 1936. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Anita Marie) Thompson, Beltsville, Md.; a son, Charles F., Houston, Tex.; a brother, Harlo A., Wistaston, Cheshire, England, and 2 grandchildren.
