Mrs. L. J. Leech received a telegram Sunday bearing the sad message of the death of her brother, Henry Thomas, at his home at Alliance, Ohio. He died at 3 o'clock on Sunday morning, Jan. 7th and the funeral was held Tuesday.

Mr. Thomas was 69 years old and his demise marks the first break in the family circle of nine children, all of whom have reached middle life. For many years he was afflicted with creeping paralysis and was a great sufferer.

He leaves a wife and three sons to share the sorrow of the brothers and sisters. Mrs. D. L. Bell of Seattle, Wash., who was visiting here, left on Monday to attend her brother's funeral.
