DIED At the home of his daughter, Mrs. Isaac Hemmingway, December, 22, 1891, Joshua Collins, aged 93 years, 4 months and 9 days.

Father Collins was born in Gloster Co. N.J. Aug. 13, 1798. He removed with his family to Ohio in 1835, and again to Iowa in 1851. He had been a resident of Cedar county for a little more than forty years.

He leaves three sons and one daughter, with many other relatives and friends, to mourn his loss. His beloved wife and two little sons long preceded him to the better land, and one daughter Mrs. Susan Negus, crossed over the river exactly four years previous to his death.

He was a member of the Society of Friends and had lived a consistent religious life. The Silent Reaper when he came found the grain fully ripened and ready for the garner.
