Died. on Sunday Sept. 13, 1891, Emma A. Lehman, daughter of the late Carl Marshall and Amanda Marshall Edwards. Deceased was born in Belmont county, Ohio, Nov. 17, 18?6. From there her parents moved to Illinois and to Iowa in 1878. She united with the Protestant Methodist Church at Rochester the fall of 1885. On Dec. 31, 1885 she was married to Henry Lehman. One child, Albert, aged three is left to miss a mothers care. She is the first to pass away of a family of seven children. The sympathy of the community goes out to the bereft husband and the motherless little one.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. S. Craft. Interment at Downey cemetery. The remains were followed to the grave by a large procession of relatives and friends.
