Hazel Marie, the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Olsen, was born May 9, 1916, near Centerdale, and died July 17, 1921, after an illness of only two and a half days, at the home one mile east of West Branch.

She was baptized in the Danish Lutheran church June 11, 1916, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. Hazel's was an unusually bright, happy disposition, and her going leaves sadness in the hearts of many friends beside the sorrowing family.

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the Danish Evangelical church, Rev. H. P. Jensen speaking comforting words to the bereaved. Interment was made in the beautiful hillside cemetery.
