DIED At his residence at Springdale, on the 10th day of April, 1891, of bronchitis, SEPHMUS ROBESON DAVIS, aged 73 years.

He was born in Northumberland, England, on the 11th of October, 1818. The greatest part of his life was spent as a temperance missionary through England, Scotland and Ireland. He married Ann Hodgson, March 27th, 1867, came to Muscatine Co., Iowa, in 1873, and in 1879 moved to Springdale. The funeral services were conducted in the M.E. church at Springdale, on Sunday, April 12th, by Rev. W. S. Craft, and were very largely attended.
