Gideon Bailey, one of the pioneers of Rochester township, passed away at his home near Rochester on Tuesday evening, March 7. He was a brother of the late Dr. J. I. Bailey, and was stricken with paralysis a few weeks ago and gradually failed until the end came as stated. It is a peculiar circumstance that three brothers have been stricken in the same manner. Dr. J. I. Bailey died from the effects of paralysis and now Gideon has passed away and another brother, H. W. Bailey of Bermidji, Minn. is lying critically ill and held in the same manner as his brothers were. The funeral will be held from the home near Rochester of Friday.
