Mrs. Clara Lamborn, widow of Joseph A. Lamborn, long time resident of the Centerdale neighborhood, died at her home at West Liberty, at 4:00 o'clock Monday afternoon, following a long illness. She was 70 years of age, having been born February 14, 1860, in Cedar township, near Rochester, and with the exception of a few years in Nebraska and at Des Moines, she had spent the most of her life in Cedar county.

In 1877, Clara Isabella Slater, was married to Mr. Lamborn and a short time preceding his death in September, 1927, the couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Mrs. Lamborn had lived in West Liberty the last eleven years.

Three children, Mrs. Fred Hemstead of West Liberty, William Lamborn of Cedar Rapids, and Frank Lamborn of Chicago, survive, as do three grandchildren in Cedar Rapids and three sisters, Miss Maud Slater and Mrs. Anna Nany of Chicago, and Mrs. Ida Rock of Redlands, Calif.

Mrs. Lamborn was a lifelong member of the Methodist church and funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in that church at West Liberty, the Rev. W. A. Smith officiating.
