Funeral services for Mrs. Lester (Ruth Elizabeth) Martens, 73, were held at Golden, CO Sept. 7, with the Rev. William Esterling officiating. Burial was in the Golden cemetery. Pallbearers were Tim, Pete, Steve and Joe Murke and Kenneth and Kevin Martens.

Mrs. Martens died at Denver, CO Sept. 4.

The daughter of Howard Turner and Mary Elizabeth Argo Sissel, she was born in Tipton Aug. 17, 1910. She had been a long-time resident of Coal Creek, CO.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Marvin M. Martens, Louisville, CO.; 2 daughters, Marril Lee Burke, Montrose, CO and Mardina K. Gregory, Coyville, KS; a sister, Esther Maurer and a brother, Raymond Sissel, both of Tipton; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
