Memorial services for Robert John Lind, 70, Prescott, AZ were held May 31 at Memory Chapel in Prescott following cremation.

Mr. Lind died May 28 at Yavapal Community hospital in Prescott.

He was born May 2, 1913 near Tipton to Robert "Scotty" and Stella E. Zerbe Lind. He married Marian Katherine Hobbs Dec. 24, 1934 in Tipton. He and his wife resided in Prescott for the past 9 years.

He retired as postmaster in Lisbon in 1972 after 24 years of service. He previously operated a grocery business in Lisbon and worked in the Tipton liquor store.

He was a member of the American Legion, the Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite Bodies and the Shrine. He served in the US Navy during WW II and was a member of the Prescott Valley Methodist church. He had a strong interest in the new Prescott Valley Methodist church being built in Prescott. Memorials may be made to the new church in his name through Mrs. Robert Lind, 124 Western Sunset, Prescott Country club, Prescott, AZ 86301.

Mr. Lind is survived by his wife, a son Robert, Lisbon; a daughter, Cynthia Gravatt, Dubuque, 6 grandchildren, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
