Mrs. Jennie Lietz, formerly a resident of Tipton, passed away at her home in McAllen, Texas, Saturday morning, Nov. 24, after an illness of many months. Funeral services were held in Horrigan funeral home in Davenport Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock and interment was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Helen Taylor, of Kansas City, Mo., one son, Karl, of McAllen, and a brother, W. D. Nesmith of Tipton.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lietz resided in Tipton for many years, Mr. Lietz being employed in the local postoffice. They moved to Davenport in 1918 where he held a similar position in the city postoffice until his death a few years ago. Mrs. Lietz has resided in McAllen, Texas, since that time. She was born in Johnson county and spent her girlhood days in Wellman, Iowa.
