Funeral services for Ella M. Licht, 80, Lowden, will be held at 10:30 a.m. today (June 8) at Trinity Lutheran church in Lowden, with the Rev. Maurice Lind officiating. Mrs. Lorenz Hoffmeier will be the organist and the adult choir will sing. Flower attendants will be Linda Olson, Karyn Fritzsche, Lorna Seifert and Sara and Katie Licht. Pallbearers were Roger and Russell Meier and Michael, Douglas, Thomas and Chris Buttleman. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran cemetery.

Mrs. Licht died at home June 5.

She was born Oct. 8, 1902 in Springfield township to Joseph and Wilhelmina Hasenbank Kahl. She married Emil Licht Feb. 7, 1924 in Davenport. He died in 1976.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Luetta) Meier, Lowden and Mrs. Duane (Eileen) Buttleman, Lowden; a son, Wesley, McFarland, WI: 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters, Mrs. Wilbert (Pauline) Mente, Wheatland and Mrs. Henry (Emma) Mente, Tipton. She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother, and a sister.
