Norman Jacob Lehman was born March 29, 1869, at Powhatan Point, Ohio, and died at his home at West Branch, Iowa, March 25, 1935, aged 66 years, 11 months and 24 days.

In boyhood he was confirmed in the Ferman Evangelical church and remained a faithful member. He came from his home in Ohio to Iowa in 1889. In April, 1893, he was united in marriage to Hannah Mae Howard and to this union were born three children, Clarence Lehman and Mrs. Lorna Williams of West Branch, and one daughter Dorothy Mae, who died in infancy. His life was spent in the vicinities of Cedar Bluff, Buchanan and Osage, with the last fifteen years at West Branch. He was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Adaline Gains.

Besides his wife and children he leaves to mourn his loss one brother, Edward Lehman of Buchanan, three sisters, Mrs. Cora Schocky, Mrs. Eunice Roth of Bellaire, Ohio and Mrs. Ella Mittendorf of Ravena, Ohio; two grandchildren Norman Williams and Dorothy Mae Lehman and many other relatives and a host of friends.

Norman Lehman was a kind husband, good father, and a kind neighbor, who will be greatly missed.

Funeral services were conducted at the home and at the Buchanan church Wednesday, March 27, at 2:00 p.m., with the pastor, Walter A. Martin, officiating. Interment was in the Woodbridge cemetery.

Those who came from a distance to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Willis Gains and John Gains, of Osage, Mrs. Florence Zimmer, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Anderson of Cedar Rapids; and Mr. and Mrs. Francis Gains of Mount Vernon.
