On June 29th about one o'clock in the afternoon one of Tipton's highly respected and long-time residents, Sarah Larkin, was stricken with paralysis. She died the following Thursday morning at 4 o'clock. Mrs. Larkin leaves but one child, a daughter, Mrs. William Belgard, of Graceville, Minnesota.

Mrs. Larkin was not feeling well for several weeks but nothing serious was looked for until she suffered the stroke of paralysis. Medical aid failed to help her. Her funeral took place on Saturday, June 2nd, at St. Mary's church. High mass was celebrated by Father Knebel at 9 o'clock, after which he pronounced the last absolution services and delivered a sermon. She was buried in St. Mary's cemetery.
