Death visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Meyer, who reside north of Clarence, Monday noon and took away their only child, little Lavera, aged 20 months and 6 days, having been born Dec. 28, 1904. The little one at first became sick with the bowel trouble that has been so prevalent this summer and later developed lung fever. Funeral services were held at the Evangelical church in Clarence yesterday morning, being conducted by Rev. C. Schmimeistrat, and interment followed at the Lowden cemetery. Many words of sympathy have been heard spoken for Mr. and Mrs. Meyer for the loss of their first born.
