Flora (Gardner) Haynes was born near Lanark, Carroll county, Ill., Feb., 15, 1868. Died May 18, 1905, being 37 years, 8 months and three days of age.

At eight years of age she with her parents moved to Clarence, living three miles northwest of town until her marriage January 8, 1889 to Mr. T. J. Haynes of Rochester. Since which time they have lived in Cedar county. During the past five years she has resided on their farm seven miles south of Tipton.

Mrs. Haynes leaves to mourn her death, besides her husband, two sons and three daughters, a mother, two sisters and four brothers.

The funeral was held at the M. E. church in Clarence on Saturday afternoon with sermon by Rev. M. J. Locke. Interment followed in the Clarence cemetery.
