21 March 1901 - The Clarence Sun

A. B. Henry, who formerly resided west of Clarence and who for the past ten years has made his home in Clinton, died Wednesday at his home, 825 Eleventh avenue, after a short illness with paralysis. The news of his death was heard with surprise by his many friends, as, apparently, his health had been as good as usual up to a few hours of the time of his death. When he arose Wednesday morning, he complained of not feeling well, and a few hours later the stroke came, which resulted fatally before the noon hour. He passed away without having regained consciousness since the time of the attack of the disease.

The deceased was born in Auburn, New York, on January 1, 1833. On January 1, 1851, he was married to Emily S. Warden, and together, two years later, they came west and took up their residence at Cambridge, Iowa. To Mr. and Mrs. Henry were born four children, who are F. M. Henry of Clinton; G. W. Henry of Radcliffe, Iowa, and Bert and E. W. Henry, who are on their way to the Klondike, having left Clinton for the northern gold fields several weeks ago.

The funeral was held at Clinton, on Friday, George Rossman and A. French attending from Clarence.
