Hans J. Vitense died at the county farm last Friday. He was 64 years and 26 days old and had been an inmate of the farm for seventeen years. He was born in Micklenburg, Germany, March 21, 1838, and came to America and to Clarence a few months previous to his being sent to the farm on account of insanity. His wife still survives and resides with a son eight miles south of Clarence, where the funeral was held on Monday, Rev. John Herrmann officiating.
