James Gunn received a message from Haswell, Colorado, Saturday, announcing the death of Wm. Gray, a former Mechanicsville resident, who was widely known throughout this part of Iowa. Mr. Gray's death followed a long illness of anemia and his removal to Colorado was in the vain hope that his condition might be improved.

He will be kindly remembered by many Mechanicsville people and especially by those who handled fine horses for Mr. Gray was recognized as one of the best posted horsemen and buyers in the middle west. He is survived by his widow.
