G. H. Dickinson died this morning at the State hospital in Iowa City. The sad news was received by telephone at noon today. Mrs. Dickinson went to Iowa City Saturday and was with him at the last. The news comes as a shock to the family and friends here who have been encouraged by reports as to his condition to believe he would recover. He rallied nicely from the effects of his recent operation but a cold contacted later greatly weakened him.

He was a man loved by all who knew him and will be mourned by many. He was a prominent and active member of Wm. Beaver Post G.A.R. and Briarwood Camp M.W.A. Definite arrangements regarding the funeral have not yet been perfected.
