Funeral services for Luther Corbin Buckley, 73, were held March 26 at the Sheets and Son funeral home with the Rev. Ralph Schenck officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Charles and Delmar Thumm, Vernon Wagner, Vincent Carlson, Harlan Garlick and Harold Shotwell. The Rev. E. D. Nix was vocalist and Mrs. Nix organist. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Thumm, Mrs. William Stewart and Mrs. Paul Kellerhals were in charge of flowers.

Mr. Buckley died suddenly at his home in Tipton March 23. He has been in poor health for a number of years.

The son of Daniel Boone and Mary Elizabeth Feeback Buckley, he was born April 22, 1892 in Edwards, Mo. He attended the rural Benton county, Missouri, schools and was married to Florence Kinyon May 5, 1915.

He was a farmer and farm hand for many years, and had lived in Tipton for 29 years.

He is survived by his wife, Florence; a son, Roy, both of Tipton; a daughter, Mrs. George (Maxine) Brown, Odessa, Mo.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Glady Hyatt, Odessa, Mo. and Mrs. Frank May, Harrisonville, Mo.; 2 half-brothers, George Thurston, Wadsworth, Kans, and Lloyd Thurston, Urich, Mo.; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a brother and a sister.
