Mrs. Katherine Baer, of Pomeroy, Ohio, who has been at the home of her son Arthur east of Tipton for several weeks, passed away early on Wednesday morning at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids where she had been taken last Sunday suffering with an infection on her face.

Brief funeral service was conducted Wednesday afternoon at the McCormick & Wills funeral parlors, after which the body was taken to Pomeroy by train, where services will be held and burial will be made.

Mr. and Mrs. Baer accompanied the body to Ohio. The host of home friends and acquaintances extend sympathy in their hour of sorrow.
