Intense heat had apparently claimed another victim when Joseph Drahos, 50, of Cedar Valley was found dead in the woods near his home Monday. According to a coroner's verdict, Drahos was overcome Sunday, but was not missed until Monday, after which his body was found under a tree.

Mr. Drahos was born in Bohemia, coming to this country at the age of nine. He had lived in Cedar Valley since 1893. He is survived by two brothers, John of Solon and Frank of Cedar Rapids and one sister, Mrs. Helen Biskup of Cedar Rapids.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at his brother's home in Solon. Theodore Hlubucek officiated. Burial was made at the Oakwood cemetery.
