Lucy Huber Ellyson, the youngest daughter of John and Harriet Huber, was born August 10, 1859, near Tipton, Iowa, and passed away at her home April 26, 1931, at 4626 Huntington Ave., Lincoln, Nebr.

On October 3, 1900, Lucy Huber was united in marriage to Robert M. Ellyson of West Branch, Iowa. Six years later they moved to Frankfort, S.D., and lived there until 1928 when they moved to Lincoln, Nebr. Mrs. Ellyson was educated at Highland Park College, Des Moines, and at Cornell College, Mt. Vernon, Iowa. Before her marriage she spent a number of years in teaching in public schools in Guthrie and Dallas counties.

Throughout her life as a teacher, homemaker and mother, Mrs. Ellyson was greatly interested in character, education and development and gave her thought and energy to that high purpose. Before her marriage she spent several years in caring for her mother in her declining years at her home in Tipton. She leaves to mourn her departure her devoted husband, Robert, and daughter, Harriet Ellyson Sidener and son-in-law, Ray E. Sidener, all of Lincoln, Nebr., and one step-son, Elden J. Ellyson, of Panama City, Fla., one sister, Kate Larrison of Des Moines, two brothers, Henry and Scott Huber of Tipton, and many nieces and nephews in Iowa and Nebraska.

Interment was made at Lincoln Memorial Park, Lincoln, Nebr., April 29, 1931. The pallbearers were W. W. Aldrch, Albert Beutler, Henry Doon, W. E. Shepard, G. F. Sidener and R. L. Edwards.
