Henry William Fitzpatrick of Milwaukee, Wis., formerly of this community, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 1934, at Misericordia Hospital, Milwaukee, following four weeks' illness of erysipelas.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Fitzpatrick and was born in Cedar county, Iowa, July 28, 1895. He was educated in Cedar county schools and St. Ambrose College, Davenport. He was married to Anna Whalen at Lansing, Iowa, Sept. 2, 1926, by the Rev. G. L. Haxmeir. Two children were born, Mary Katherine and Thomas.

Mr. Fitzpatrick moved to Allamakee county in March, 1920, and to Milwaukee, Wis., Sept. 1926, where he was employed as a postal clerk. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas church, and of the Holy Name Society of St. Thomas Aquinas, and of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his widow and two children, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Fitzpatrick and the following brothers and sisters: Sister M. Agatha, Davenport, Iowa; Mrs. P. J. McGuire, West Branch, Iowa; Mrs. P. L. Rundall, Flint, Mich.; Charles and Bernadine at home. One brother, Thomas, preceded him in death, drowned July 30, 1921.

Funeral services were held Sept. 17, at the Immaculate Conception church at Lansing, Iowa. He was also honored with a military funeral. Burial was made at Gethsemane Cemetery at Lansing. Priests of Requiem High Mass were Rev. G. L. Haxmeier, Fr. H. J. Kreiger and Fr. Daniel Sullivan.

Pall bearers were John Schaack, Lawrence Mackinrow, Charles Johnston, all of Milwaukee; James Brennan, Carl Wagner and Edwin Cooper, Jr., all of Lansing.
