4 August 1932 - The Tipton Advertiser

It was a shock to relatives and friends when it became known last evening that C. O. Henderson had passed away at the home of his cousin, Miss Mae Wallace, where he had lived a good many years. Since he suffered a stroke a year or so ago he had not been in good health but his sudden death was unexpected. He had enjoyed the afternoon in his chair on the porch and at supper time Miss Walters was helping him to go indoors when he suddenly collapsed and was dead before aid could be summoned. For years Mr. Henderson was employed at the harness shop now operated by Mr. Fisher and was widely known in this community. He was a loyal Odd Fellow and a member of the M. E. Church.

Funeral services will be held from the Walters home at 4 p.m. Thursday (tomorrow) afternoon with the I.O.O.F. Lodge in charge, and at 2 p.m. Friday at Shenandoah, where burial will be made beside his wife, who died many years ago.

All Odd Fellows are requested to meet at the hall at 3:30 promptly Thursday to attend the services en-mass.
