Charles Harris Woods was born November 24, 1910, in Chula, Mo., the son of Thomas J. and Martha Woods.

He was baptized and a member of the Methodist church in Tipton.

He was united in marriage to Helen Argo, April 11, 1837. To this union was born one daughter, Charlen, who precede him in death in infancy.

For the past fifteen years Mr. and Mrs. Woods made their home in Lena, Ill., where Charles was employed by the Public Service Co. of northern Illinois in the capacity as lineman. He had suffered ill health for some months following a severe electric shock and burns which he sustained on a line job on which he was working in Illinois. He hadn't fully recovered and was unable to work for the past year.

Charles was also preceded in death by his father and mother and leaves to mourn his loss his wife, Helen, two sisters, Mrs. Lyle Finefield of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mrs. Perry Smith of Geneseo, Ill., and 3 nieces and one grand-niece.

The pallbearers were fellow workers from Lena, Ill., and Dave Cline of Tipton.

Memorial services were held May 20, 1955, at the Sheets & Dahn funeral home with Rev. A. C. Long officiating and burial in Tipton Masonic cemetery.
