Last rites were held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at the McCormick Funeral Home for Will Wolf, esteemed pioneer of Tipton community, the Rev. H. N. Poston, pastor of the First Presbyterian church officiating, and interment was made in the Masonic cemetery near Tipton.

William E. Wolf, a son of Mary and Henry Wolf, was born December 27, 1869 in Meigs county, Ohio, and passed away at his home in Tipton, Iowa, July 13, 1941.

He came to Iowa as a young man and has resided in this community ever since that time. On February 27, 1896, he was united in marriage to Cora E. Craig. Three children were born to them, Wilbur, who passed away in 1933, Elmer and Madge, now at home.

Besides his widow, son and daughter, he is survived by two grandchildren, Jack and Betty Wolf of Ft. Madison, Iowa, two sisters, Miss Ida Wolf of Middleport, Ohio, and Mrs. Mary Phillips of Pomeroy, Ohio, several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Mr. Wolf was a man of quiet disposition, genial nature, and held in high esteem by a wide circle of friends who have made his acquaintance during his many years of service in the community.
