Miss Beatrice Brock, 37, died last Thursday afternoon in the home of her mother, Mrs. Lee Colony, 308 Melrose avenue, Iowa City, following an extended illness.

She was born in Clarence, Iowa, May 15, 1907, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. A. J. Brock. As a child she moved to Grinnell where her father practiced dentistry. Miss Brock graduated from the Grinnell high school in 1925, and from the University of Iowa in 1930, where she was affiliated with the Delta Gamma sorority.

After receiving her degree, Miss Brock taught schools in Victor, Grinnell, and in Taos, N. M., where she became ill, returning recently to Iowa City.

Surviving are her mother and one brother, Lieut. Atwood Brock, who is a dentist stationed in the south Pacific area.

The funeral was held Saturday with burial at Grinnell.
