Frederick C. Cessford died Monday, Jan. 10, at his home in Iowa Falls after an illness of only a few days with influenza. The funeral was held on the Friday following with burial at Dows. He had not been well for several years.

Frederick Charles Cessford was born July 19, 1868, near Tipton, to John B. and Janette Cessford. He was married to Nellie Davis Feb. 25, 1897. They lived on a farm near Clarence until March 1, 1908, when the family moved to a farm south of Galt. They moved to Iowa Falls in March, 1928 and Mr. Cessford had since resided there.

Surviving are the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Guy Kay of Iowa Falls and Mrs. Lee Lemke of Hampton; and five sons, William of Iowa Falls, George of Chicago, Pfc. Clarence of Nashville, Tenn., Sgt. Raymond of San Francisco, Calif., and Sgt. Harold of Shreveport, La. All of the sons were home to attend the service.

Mr. Cessford is also survived by eight grandchildren, Pfc. Earl Cessford of Salt Lake City, Utah, Donald, Darlene and Rosalie Kay of Iowa Falls, Lee, jr., Joyce and Gloria Ann Lemke of Hampton, and Patricia Cessford of Chicago; by one brother, Robert Cessford of Marion, and by one sister, Mrs. Emma Siple of Riceville.
