Mrs. O. M. Carson, 69, of 965 12th street, Marion, died Wednesday at 11 a.m. at her home following a long illness.

Born Vera Agne Nov. 29, 1885 at Tipton, Iowa, she was graduated from Tipton high school and in 1907 from Coe college.

She was married at Tipton, Aug. 11, 1908. Mr. and Mrs. Carson went to Hanover, Ill. where he was superintendent of schools. Mrs. Carson taught school there. In 1910 they moved to Springville where she taught in the schools. Two years later Mr. Carson became the superintendent of Marion schools. They have resided in Marion since that time.

She was a member of the Marion Presbyterian church, a member of the public library board, a past matron of Marion chapter 183, O.E.S., a member of Lorraine circle, past matrons of the O. E.S.; past president of Chapter OS, R. E. O.; a member of the OOP club, the Sorosis club and a past president of the Marion Federation of Women's clubs.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Mrs. Richard L. Wagor of Central City; 2 grandchildren, Jeanne and John C. Wagor of Central City; and 2 brothers and a sister, George and B. E. Agne and Mrs. Emil Hokenson all of Tipton.

Memorial services were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Murdoch chapel by the Rev. C. V. R. De Jong. Burial was in Cedar Memorial cemetery.
