Adelaide M. Dean, 525 N. Austin Blvd., Chicago, Ill., died Thursday, Jan. 6, at the Austin convalescent home, after an illness of 5 months.

Miss Dean was born in Tipton, Iowa, the second child of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Dean.

She came to Chicago as a bookkeeper in 1905 and has been identified with the business world ever since.

Miss Dean was a member of the First Congregational church of Oak Park, Ill., and the George Rogers Clark Chapter of the D. A. R.

Miss Dean was a sister of the late E. S. Dean of Tipton and was employed in the F. & M. Bank of Tipton for many years.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Grace Maynard of Des Moines, Mrs. Elizabeth Lovejoy with whom she lived and Mrs. Helen Vining of Oak Park, Ill., and many nieces and nephews.

At Miss Dean's request, the body was cremated and ashes buried on the Dean family lot in the Masonic cemetery of Tipton, Iowa.

Memorial services were held Jan. 8th at 4 p.m. in the parlors of the First Congregational church of Oak Park, Ill.
