Albert Charles Pancratz, 2334 Eighteenth street SW, retired C. R. and I. C. railway car inspector and a Cedar Rapids resident for 40 years, died in St. Luke's hospital at 1:35 a.m. Saturday following a brief illness.
Born Feb. 7, 1871, in Chicago, he lived at Lowden and Marshalltown before he located at Cedar Rapids in 1906.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Eva Henry, and a son, Albert C. Pancratz, jr., both of Cedar Rapids; a step-son H. B. Cray of Stockton, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. F. C. Richmann and a brother, Otto Pancratz, both of Lowden, four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Pancratz was a member of the Lutheran church.
Services were held in the Turner chapel on Monday. Burial was in the Lisbon cemetery.
