Louise Brunscheen was born on October 31, 1887, at Leese, Germany. She was confirmed in 1902 in the Lutheran Faith. She came to this country in 1907 at the age of 20 and lived in the Stanwood vicinity for three years after which she returned to Germany.

She was married to August Keitel November 22, 1918 in Leese, Germany where they continued to reside until 1923 when they came to this country and started up farming in the Clarence and Lowden communities.

To this union two sons were born: Fred of Jefferson City, Mo., and Henry of Lowden.

Surviving are her husband, two sons, four grandchildren, one brother--Henry Brunscheen of Wyoming, Iowa; two sisters--Mrs. Gerhard Wenndt of Lowden and Mrs. Minna Schnipkoweit of Hildesheim, Germany.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Herman and William.

Mrs. August Keitel, aged 64 years, 9 months and 13 days, died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 12, 1952, in her home west of Lowden.

Louise Keitel was a good mother and her chief joy in life was working for her children and friends. She enjoyed visiting with neighbors and friends and was always ready to lend a helping hand when ever anyone needed her. She especially liked working out-of-doors in her garden and among her flowers.

She was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church of Clarence.

Funeral services were held in the family home at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 1952 and at 2:00 o'clock in St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church, Clarence with the Rev. Harold Kratzat, of Tipton, conducting the service. The music was furnished by a mixed quartette which was accompanied by Eleanor Conrad. Bernice Brunscheen and Mrs. Karl Schnipkoweit were in charge of the many beautiful floral tributes. Nephews served as the pallbearers, being: Edwin Kroemer, Fred Schnipkoweit, Edwin Brunscheen, Kenneth Brunscheen, Alvin Brunscheen and Donald Brunscheen.

Interment was made in St. John's cemetery east of Clarence.
