Mrs. Lena Winter was born at Clarence, Iowa, on July 9, 1861 and passed away on Tuesday afternoon, September 1st, 1953 attaining the age of 92 years, 1 month and 22 days. She had been a lifelong resident of Cedar county. Her husband preceded her in death. She was a member of the Presbyterian church.

Mrs. Winter is survived by three sons: S. R. Winter, Davenport; A. L. Winter, Davenport, and F. W. Winter, Tipton.

Funeral services were conducted Friday Sept. 4th at 3:30 p.m. in the Sheets and Dahn funeral home in Tipton. Burial was made in the Clarence cemetery with U. J. Fike and the Rev. Raymond Ferguson officiating.
