Frederick Elmer Britcher, passed away at his home near Bield, Man. Canada, on January 23rd, 1953, after having attained the age of 80 years, 9 months and 21 days.

Mr. Britcher was born in Cedar county, Iowa, April 2, 1872. On September 14, 1899 he was married to Emma A. Miller. The family went to Canada in May 1926 after farming for many years in the Clarence area. On arriving in Canada they took up farming at Wrozton, Sask. Then in 1934 they took up farming in the Roblin district.

He is survived by his widow, two sons, Albert and Roland of Bield, one daughter, Genevieve, Mrs. Albert Engle, of Mount Clemens, Michigan, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in the Knox United Church, Roblin, on Monday January 26th, with the service being conducted by Dr. J. Carlyle Parker assisted by Rev. H. G. Monro; the address was given by Rev. Roy Forrest.

Interment was made in the Roblin cemetery.
