Memorial services for Hugo Stuhr, 83, Apache Junction, Ariz. and formerly of Tipton, were held July 6 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Clarence, with the Rev. Calvin Schumacher officiating. The organist was Mrs. Robert Hasselbusch and the soloist was Matt Schumacher. The body was cremated and burial was in St. John's cemetery.

Mr. Stuhr died June 21 at a nursing home in Apache Junction, Ariz.

The son of William and Sophia Meyer Stuhr, he was born Jan. 5, 1905 in Bennett. He married Pauline Syring March 5, 1935 in Clarence and she died in 1985. He married Loretta Johnson March 28, 1987 in Mesa, Ariz. He was a retired farmer and moved to Arizona 2 years ago.

Mr. Stuhr is survived by his wife; a stepson, Harold Syring, Tipton; a step-daughter, Mrs. Walter (Viola) Wiebke, Clarence; 5 step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, an infant daughter, 5 brothers, 2 sisters and one step-granddaughter.
