23 February 1912 - The Lowden News

Marie Ginap, nee Gaedke, was born on September 22, 1863, at Ziethen, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany. She died at her home at Lowden on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 1912, at 9:30 a.m. of dropsy, and heart and lung trouble at the age of 48 years and five months.

She was married to Henry Ginap on August 29, 1886. They came to America in 1890 and for the first 3 1/2 years resided north of Clarence; after that they resided in Stanwood until about a year ago when they moved to Lowden.

Deceased has been ailing for a number of years, but her last sickness lasted for about three weeks. She became quite weak but none expected that the end was so near. Wednesday morning her husband and several of her children were right with her, looked right at her, but no one knows the exact minute that death arrived, so still and quietly did she pass away.

There survive to mourn Mrs. Ginap's demise her sorrowing husband, six daughters, two sons, five grandchildren, six brothers, three sisters, and her aged mother. All here deeply sympathize with the bereaved family in their loss of a dear loving wife, mother, sister and daughter.

Funeral will be held this afternoon at two o'clock with services at the Lutheran church conducted by Rev. J. H. Brammer, and they will lay Mother Ginap to rest in the Lutheran cemetery. May she rest in peace.
