Ernest Kahler was born March 18, 1870 in Germany, son of Frederick and Katherine Hagelstein Kahler.

In 1928 he was married to Ada Scully and she preceded him in death.

Mr. Kahler passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 1959 at Long Beach California, having reached the age of 89 years, 7 months and 16 days.

He is survived by 1 brother, August of Lakewood, California; and one sister, Mrs. Emma Kintzel of Clarence.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Funeral services were held at the Chapman Funeral Home on Saturday, November 7th, 1959 at 10 a.m. conducted by Rev. Edward J. Bowers with Diane Bergmann as organist.

Burial was made in St. John's Cemetery.
