Funeral services for Mrs. Hal Raymond of Bettendorf, formerly of Stanwood, were held at the McGinnis Funeral Home at Bettendorf at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 6th, 1958. Graveside services were held at 1:30 at the Stanwood Cemetery.

Anna Bertena Echland was born August 23, 1888 in Stanwood, Iowa and passed away December 3, 1958 at the age of 70 years, 3 months and 10 days. She passed away on Wednesday afternoon in St. Luke's Hospital in Davenport of a lingering heart ailment.

She was a member of the Methodist Church in Stanwood and for many years was organist there.

On November 30, 1911 she was united in marriage to Hally R. Raymond of Trunbull Co. Ohio and to this union were born 2 daughters whom survive.

Those left to mourn her passing are her husband of Bettendorf, the two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Genevieve) Gritton of Clarence, and Mrs. William (Carol) Vincent of Iowa City, seven grandchildren, Roger, Diane, Karen and Marcia Gritton of Clarence, Steven Vincent, Mrs. Leonard Milder and Mrs. Richard Fowler of Iowa City, also 2 great grandchildren Debbie and Douglas Milder of Iowa City.
