Funeral services for Paul A. Hambright, 72, were held at the Sheets and Son funeral home Dec. 3 with the Rev. J. Van Mantgem officiating. Burial was in Inland cemetery with full military rites by the Rixe-Lausen post of the American Legion at Bennett.

Pallbearers were Robert, Richard, Rhea, Roland, Phillip and Craig Hambright. Mr. and Mrs. Clint Pollock and Mrs. Lucy Plate were in charge of flowers. Merrill Womach was vocalist.

Mr. Hambright died at Cedar Manor Nov. 30 following an extended illness.

The son of Bruce H. and Bessie E. Waddell Hambright, he was born near Tipton July 14, 1899 and was educated in the rural schools of Cedar county. He was married to Edith I. Tracht near Tipton Jan. 5, 1922.

Mr. Hambright was employed at the Bennett creamery and later worked as a carpenter, retiring in 1963. He had lived in the Bennett community since 1930.

He was a 50-year member of the Rixe-Lausen post of the American Legion at Bennett, the Veterans of World War I, an honorary member of the Bennett fire department and Peace Church of Christ United.

During World War I he served with the 34th Artillery.

He is survived by his wife, Edith, 5 sons, Robert, Farmington; Richard, Traer, Phillip and Roland, Bennett and Rhea, Davenport; 13 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Howard (Edna) Hamilton, Tipton.
