Funeral services for Frank H. Moffit, 83, were held in the Stanwood United Methodist church Dec. 6 with the Rev. James Nelson officiating. Burial was in the Stanwood cemetery.

Pallbearers were Henry Ormsby, Ray Ropa, Harlan Voelker, Louis and Paul Levsen and Howard Freeman. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Freeman and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Collins were in charge of flowers. Mrs. Edward Speer accompanied Mrs. John Swift, soloist.

Mr. Moffit died at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids Dec. 3 following a short illness.

Frank Hurst Moffit, son of John H. and Mary Carson Moffit, was born near Clarence Jan. 27, 1888. He was married to Ethel Churchill July 10, 1907. They farmed in the Stanwood area before retiring to Stanwood 24 years ago.

He was a member of Mt. Hope Masonic lodge.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. W. B. Barkhurst, West Liberty; a son, Carson Moffit, Clarence; 2 grandsons; a brother, James, Stanwood and a sister, Mrs. Ethel Moffit, Hollywood, Calif.

He was preceded in death by 3 brothers.
