Louise Debner, nee Huelse, was born on February 20, 1830, at Estorf, Hannover, Germany. She was married in Germany to Dietrich Ludwig Debner, who died near Lowden in March, 1899. They having come to America in 1870 and settled near Lowden. Mrs. Debner died at her home five miles south of Lowden on Sunday, June 19th, 1910, at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 29 days of infirmaties of old age.

Ever since the death of her husband Mrs. Debner resided with her son and daughter, Dietrich and Miss Emma Debner, on the old home farm south of Lowden. She got hurt severely in a fall a number of years ago, she recovered considerably from the accident, but remained some lame and had to remain in the house. Then a short time before her demise she took sick more severely and infirmaties of old age brought the end. She was loved by her children and grandchildren and highly respected by all who knew her.

There were born to Mr. and Mrs. Debner eight children. One daughter, Mrs. Augusta Richmann, preceded her mother to the better world, but seven of her children survive to mourn Mother Debner's demise, namely Dietrich Debner and Miss Emma Debner of Springfield Twp., Mrs. Henry Rix and Mrs. Dietrich Focke of Fonda, Iowa, Miss Lena Debner and Mrs. Sophie Michel of Chicago and Mrs. Marie Dircks of Clarence. All were here at the funeral excepting Mrs. Focke. There also survive Mother Debner's demise five sons-in-law, nineteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral was held Tuesday afternoon with services in the Evangelical church at Lowden conducted by Rev. Werning. A great many relatives and friends were in attendance including many from the distance. Mrs. Debner was layed to rest in the Van Horn cemetery. May she rest in peace.
