Mechanicsville - Services for Mrs. Letta Elsie Elliott, 82, were held May 6 in the Morgan Funeral home, Lisbon. The Rev. Ron Barth officiated with burial in the Mt. Vernon cemetery. Dean Brown, Gene Brown, Eddie Nost, Donald Nost, Roger Dolan and Gary Robinson were pallbearers.

Mrs. Elliott died May 4 in Mercy hospital, Cedar Rapids. She was born Oct. 29, 1888, at Union, the daughter of David and Alice Negus Harris. She received her education in the Union schools and lived in Lisbon before moving to Mechanicsville in the late 1930's. She did practical nursing for many years for people in the community.

Mrs. Elliott was preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters, an infant son, Paul, and a daughter, Betty, who died at age 5.

She is survived by 2 sons, Fred and Jerald Nost, both of Lisbon; 2 daughters, Mrs. Cliff (Irene) Brown, Lisbon, and Mrs. Dana (Carol) Greene, Mechanicsville. Also 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
