Funeral services for Henry John Eserhaut, 72, former Tipton resident, were held at Wheatland Jan. 27 with burial in Inland cemetery at Bennett.

Mr. Eserhaut died at the Jackson county hospital, Maquoketa, Jan. 24.

Mr. Eserhaut was born Jan. 16, 1899, in Cedar county. He married Esther Scheper in 1921 at Tipton.

A retired Calamus farmer, he had moved to Wheatland in January.

Survivors are his wife; a son, Hugo, Grand Mound; 3 brothers, Herman, Nichols; Robert, Wheatland and John, Tipton; 3 sisters, Mrs. Lucy Scheper and Mrs. Frieda Scheper, both of DeWitt; and Mrs. Edna Scheper, Toronto.
