Last rites for Irvin J. Gravert, 62, will be held at St. Mary's church, Tipton, at 9 a.m. today (Oct. 19). The Rev. Eugene Benda will officiate. Burial will be in the Stanwood cemetery.

Pallbearers are Michael, David, Jerry and Leo Gravert, Jr., Phillip Roe and John Nanke. Sara Ryan is organist.

Mr. Gravert died at University hospitals, Iowa City, Oct. 16 following a short illness.

The son of John H. and Agnes C. Daly Gravert, he was born at Moline, Ill., March 3, 1910, and was educated at St. Mary's school and St. Ambrose Academy, Davenport.

He was married to Katherine M. Hourigan at Bettendorf Oct. 24, 1933. He was a commercial artist. He had lived in Tipton for 7 years. Mr. Gravert was a member of St. Mary's church.

He is survived by his wife, 4 sons, John B. and William L., Tipton; James L., Red Bluff, Calif., and Thomas, Mechanicsville; 8 grandchildren, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John H. Gravert, Davenport; a sister, Mrs. Orville (Betty) Roe and 2 brothers, Daniel and Leo, both of Davenport. He was preceded in death by a son and 2 daughters.
