Relatives in Tipton were notified recently of the death of Mrs. Lulu K. Gay which occurred in San Diego, Calif., Wednesday, Dec. 15 after a brief illness. A letter received by Mrs. Guy Maurer states that she had enjoyed a pleasant Thanksgiving day becoming ill shortly after and was bed-fast only ten days, her death occurring 6 years and 6 weeks after the death of her husband. Mrs. Gay was a sister of the late John Walters and was born in Tipton, August 27, 1868, and immediate survivors are three daughters, Eva and Ruby of San Diego, and Ruth of Berkeley, and two sons Fred and Earl, also of San Diego. Funeral services were held in the Bonham Bros. mortuary in San Diego, with Dr. Frank Linder officiating at the services, and interment was in Glen Abbey Memorial Park.
