Last rites for Arthur I. Schott, 81, Brooksville, Fla. were held at St. Mary church Feb. 23 with the Rev. Ray J. Pacha officiating. Burial was in St. John's cemetery at Lisbon.

Pallbearers were Steve, John, Marvin, Dennis, Don and Dwayne Schott. Sarah Ryan was organist. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pelzer and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hayslett were in charge of flowers.

The Rosary was at the Sheets and son funeral home Feb. 22.

Mr. Schott died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, Feb. 20, following a long illness.

The son of Louis and Barbara Braler Schott, he was born at Fulda, Ohio Sept. 10, 1890 and was educated in the schools of that area.

He was married to Rena Violet Carpenter at Mechanicsville Oct. 15, 1915. She died in 1948. He was married to Emma Sorg at Youngstown, Ohio Dec. 27, 1952. She died in 1962.

A farmer in the Tipton area, he had been a resident of Tipton for 20 years before moving to Florida. He was a member of St. Mary church, the Catholic Forresters and the Moose.

He is survived by 5 sons, Howard A., Francis and Arthur W., Cedar Rapids; Robert, Tipton, and Harry, Bennett and a daughter, Mrs. Robert Herbert, Cedar Rapids. He was preceded by both wives, 3 brothers and a sister; 21 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
