Funeral services for William Clyde Barnes, 61, were held in the Chapman Funeral home, Clarence, Feb. 4 with the Rev. James Lusher officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery, Mechanicsville.

Mr. Barnes died at his home in Mechanicsville Feb. 2.

The son of William and Emma Morgan Barnes, he was born at Des Moines March 18, 1910. He was married to Leola Werner at Lancaster, Mo. Oct. 23, 1935.

He is survived by his wife; 2 daughters, Marlene Roelf, Mechanicsville, and Mrs. Edwin (Marcia) Decker, Clarence; 4 grandchildren, his mother, Mrs. Emma Brown, Eddyville; 3 half-sisters, Mrs. Leon Murhpy, San Jose, Calif.; Mrs. Harold Long, Ottumwa and Mrs. Sylvan Esser, Omaha, Nebr.; and a half-brother, Francis Brown, Mechanicsville.
