Last rites for James E. Banks, 59, were held in St. Paul, Minn., Nov. 30 with the Rev. Marcus Cox officiating. Burial was in Riverview cemetery at St. Paul.

Mr. Banks died Nov. 26 at St. Paul.

The son of J. W. and Alice Winters Banks, he was born near Scranton, Oct. 20, 1903. He came to Cedar county as a child and grew up in the Tipton and Clarence area. After his marriage he lived in Wisconsin and then in St. Paul until his death. He was last employed by the Clark Transport company.

He is survived by a son, Jimmy and a daughter, Debra, both at home. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Sally.

Attending services from Clarence were his sisters, Mrs. Margaret Davis and Mrs. June Rowser and his brother, William and his wife, Leona.
